Dussehra Puja

One of the most significant and fascinating festivals of India is Dussehra. ‘Vijaya dashmi’ is the other name of this festival It is the celebration of the good over the bad forces and is celebrated on the 10th day after a 9 day festival where Goddess Durga in Her 9 different forms is worshipped. On this day Lord Rama destroyed Ravana who abducted his wife and Goddess Durga destroyed the demon Mahishasura. Dussehra puja is an integral part of this auspicious occasion. Flowers, dry fruits, fresh fruits, jaggery, radish, rice, incense sticks, limestone, cow dung, etc. are some of the most important ingredients of the entire rituals of puja. People perform the pujas in order to seek the blessings of the almighty for happiness, health, wealth , protection and prosperity. It is also a custom to worship vehicles, machines, weapons, pens and other instruments that are a symbol of power. Vijaya Dashami is the day which guarantees success in any venture that is taken up; hence, lot of people buy a house or car or start a new project on Vijaya Dashami.

Kalash Sthapana, Panchang Sthapana (Gauri Ganesh, Punyavachan, Shodash Matrika, Navgraha, Sarvotabhadra), 64 yogini Pujan, Shetrapal Pujan, Swasti Vachan, Sankalpa, Ganesh Pujan and Abhishek, Navgraha Pujan and 108 chants of each planetary mantra, Invocation of major Gods and Goddesses in Kalash, Pujan of Vahan Durghatna Yantra and Ram Raksha yantra, Recitation of 108 Paath of Ram Raksha Strotra, Recitation of 108 Paath of Hanuman Chalisa, Ram Raksha Strotra Japa (5100 chants), Vishwakarma Mantra Japa(5100 chants), Havan and Aarti.

A short Video of the Sankalpa and mantra chanting would be sent to you along with the photographs of the Puja ritual. You may connect with the priest during the puja (video or phone call) on WhatsApp or Skype and watch the rituals live. Puja Tokri having prasad, energized Rudraksha, silver tabeez and yantra would be sent along. Rudra Centre priests will perform Dussehra Puja as per Vedic rituals based on birth details.
