The 2-dimensional diagram of Kamdev Yantra comprises the beej syllable Kleem in Sanskrit on its Bindu or Center Point. This is surrounded by a Shaktona (two interlocked Triangles) representing the Union of Shiva (upward pointing triangle) and Shakti (downward pointing triangle), also known as a Six-pointed Star. It is encircled by a Circle and 8 Petals of Lotus. The circle outside the triangles represents the cosmic cycle and the progression and rotation of events while the petals are associated with purity, which on this yantra stands for purity of intention to attain the desired attraction. Four layered large Squares on the outermost part also known as Bhupura, connects the desire intent with the Earth element ensuring manifestation of desires in the material world. Kamadeva is portrayed as a handsome young man who uses a bow and arrows. His bow is crafted from sugarcane, and his arrows are adorned with five different types of fragrant flowers. The five flowers are blue lotus, white lotus, Ashoka tree flowers, mango tree flowers, and jasmine flowers. In order, the Sanskrit names for these flowers are Aravinda, Ashoka, Choota, Navamallika, and Neelotpala. 

Kamdeva’s powers are so high that once, Bhagawan Indra sent him to Bhagawan Shiva in order to awaken him from his deep meditation and make him fall in love with Parvati, the reincarnation of Sati, who was Bhagawan Shiva's wife. After her husband, Bhagawan Shiva, was severely insulted by her father, Daksha, Sati burnt herself on fire. Consequently since then Bhagawan Shiva wanted to avoid love. However, when Kamdev attempted to ignite love in his heart, Bhagawan Shiva burned him to ashes because his meditation was interrupted. Later, he was restored to life after his wife, Rati, pleaded with Bhagawan Shiva. And, as a result of Kamdev arrow Shiva fell in love with Parvati and eventually they married.

One can worship Kamdev Yantra using the technique mentioned below 
Choose an auspicious day after checking the Hindu Calendar preferably a Friday 
Have a bath & wear clean clothes 
Sit in a comfortable sitting posture while facing East 
Perform Pranayama Anolom Vilom (Alternating nostril breaths) 10 times & meditate to purify your mind and thoughts 
Place the Kamdev Yantra in front of you on a Puja Thali 
Light a Diya Lamp and Offer Namaskar

Using Kusha Grass or a Spoon sprinkle Gangajal on yourself and your surroundings while chanting Pavitrikaran Mantra: 
"Om Apavitrah Pavitro Va Sarva Vastan Gatopi Va 
Yah Smaret Pundari Kaksham Sa Bahya Bhyantarah Shuchih"

Translation:

May all things unholy become holy, may all lower tendencies depart, just as soon as we transcend may within and without be purified!

Chant Kamdev Mantra: Om Gum Ganapataye Namaha (11 times) 
Chant Shiva Mantra: Om Namah Shivaye (11 times) 
Chant Vishnu Mantra: Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya (11 times)

Remember all the 9 planets Sun (Surya), Moon (Chandra), Mars (Mangal), Mercury (Budha), Jupiter (Brihaspati), Venus (Shukra), Saturn (Shani), Rahu & Ketu. Remember all the 5 elements Earth, Water, Fire, Air & Ether.

Perform Abhishek (Ritualistic Bathing) of the Kamdev Yantra using Water, Milk, Honey, Panchamrit & Sugar while chanting “Om Kleem Kamadevaay Namah”.

Wash the Kamdev Yantra with Water & Wipe it with a Clean Cloth.

Offer Kum while chanting Kamdev Yantra Beej Mantra: “Om Kleem Kamadevaay Namah” after each recitation. You may chant this Mantra 9/21/51 or 108 times.

Perform Panchupchara Puja.

How to Worship Kamdev Yantra (Simple Procedure)

Some may not be able to perform the puja as mentioned above, in this case one can follow the simple puja procedure mentioned below. 
Note that any form of worship done with a positive intention will bless the devotees.

One can worship Kamdev Yantra using the technique mentioned below. 
Choose an auspicious day after checking the Hindu Calendar preferably a Friday. 
Have a bath & wear clean clothes. 
Sit in a comfortable sitting posture while facing East. 
Perform Pranayama Anolom Vilom (Alternating nostril breaths) 10 times & meditate to purify your mind and thoughts. 
Place the Kamdev Yantra in front of you on a Puja Thali. 
Light a Diya Lamp and Offer Namaskar. 
Sprinkle water on yourself and the Kamdev Yantra. 
Apply Sandal Paste to the Bindu of the Kamdev Yantra. 
Offer Kum to the Kamdev Yantra. 
Offer Fruits or Sweets to the Kamdev Yantra. 
Light a Dhoop Incense and Offer that to the Kamdev Yantra. 
Chant the Beej Mantra “Om Kleem Kamadevaay Namah” 9/21/51 or 108 times. 
Perform Parikrama (Circumbulation) around Kamdev Yantra 3 times.

How to Meditate on Kamdev Yantra? (Visualization Technique)

Meditating on the Kamdev Yantra is the most powerful way to achieve union with the diagram. Achieving the union is said to reveal all secrets of the world and one is supposed to gain access to knowledge of higher realms. In an oversimplified sense one must recreate the Kamdev Yantra diagram accurately in the mind and visualize it. This visualization technique may sound simple but is quite tough to achieve, one must spend years of sadhana just to create an accurate image of the diagram in their head. 

One can start by sitting in a comfortable posture facing east with an accurate image of Kamdev Yantra at their Eye Level. 

Perform Pranayama Anolom Vilom (Alternating nostril breaths) 10 times & meditate to purify your mind and thoughts. 

Start by focusing on the Centre Point Bindu with your gaze going inward to outward from the Bindu to the 1^st Layer of the Shaktona or two interlocked triangles fixing your gaze in the upwardly pointing triangle first then moving it to the downwardly pointing triangle to then contemplate both together, to the 2^nd Layer of the Circle to the 3^rd Layer of the 8 Petals to the 4^th Layer of the outermost Four Squares moving your gaze through its 4 layers once at a time. These are the steps or Avaran of Kamdev yantra. 

Then your gaze should go from the Outermost Gate back to the Bindu. 

Try to avoid blinking your eyes during this process. You can do this for multiple rounds for 30 minutes. 

After you can focus with intent for at least 30 minutes (the stamina to just focus may take quite some time to develop) close your eyes and try to recreate the image of the Kamdev Yantra Diagram accurately. 

Once you can create and sustain an accurate image of Kamdev Yantra in your mind try to focus one by one on the steps mentioned above and go from Bindu to Outermost gate & Back to Bindu however all this needs to be done in your mind in meditation with your eyes closed. 

This visualization technique takes many years to master and bless the Sadhak with material success as well as spiritual augmentation.

Where to install Kamdev Yantra?

Kamdev Yantra will energize the area where it is placed, it can be installed anywhere in your home, office, factory, dwelling. Ideally it should be placed in the East Corner of a room facing West.
