The fourth day of Navratri is dedicated to Maa Kushmanda, the fourth form of Navdurga. She represents the primordial creative Shakti from whom the universe is said to have emerged.
According to sacred tradition, when existence was enveloped in darkness, Maa Kushmanda brought forth the cosmic creation through Her divine radiance and smile. Her name is traditionally understood in relation to the cosmic egg—Brahmanda—from which creation unfolds.
She represents vitality, creativity, illumination and the life-force that animates creation. Her radiant form reminds the seeker that the same Shakti through which the universe manifests also moves within every living being as the power to create, renew and transform.
Maa Kushmanda is generally depicted with eight arms and is therefore also called Ashtabhuja Devi. She carries various divine objects and weapons and rides a lion.
In the chakra-based understanding of Navdurga worship, the fourth day is associated with the Anahata Chakra, or Heart Chakra.
Anahata represents openness, harmony, love and expansion. Meditating upon Anahata Chakra while worshipping Maa Kushmanda signifies opening oneself to the creative movement of Shakti and allowing one's actions and creations to arise from inner fullness rather than limitation.

Jagatprasootyai= This word is made by cojoining two words ‘Jagat’ meaning world and ‘Prasootyai’ meaning giving birth. Thus, the word Jagatprasootyai means one who gave birth to this world
