Nandi Puja

Lord Nandi is the Vahana (vehicle) of Lord Shiva and also the gatekeeper of Lord Shiva's abode (along with Mahakal). Lord Nandi is one the supreme devotees of Lord Shiva and it is believed that Shiva Parivar is incomplete without Nandi and that worship of Lord Shiva is incomplete without revering Nandi. The Nandi bull symbolizes patience and perseverance and is worshiped for dedication, power and fertility. The Nandi Bull is also a most powerful warrior and head of 18 siddhas, also Guru of Lord Shiva's son Lord Kartikeya. There are numerous stories in various Puranas dedicated to Nandi bull and also many temples that are solely dedicated to Nandi. In many Puranas Nandi or Nandikeshvara is described as a Deity with bull face with a human body and who can take any form, animal or human. It is believed that Nandi dedication of Lord Shiva is such that Lord Shiva is Nandi and Nandi is Lord Shiva. Thus wishes and prayers whispered in the ears of Nandi at Shiva temples so as to reach Lord Shiva faster. Lord Nandi Puja is done for power, success, victory and prosperity.

Puja Tokri having prasad, energized Rudraksha, silver tabeez and Shiva yantra would be sent along. Rudra Centre priests will perform Nandi Puja as per Vedic rituals based on birth details.
