What is Narsimhadev Yantra?

Yantras are intricate and powerful geometric diagrams that hold profound significance in various cultures and traditions. They are geometric representations of specific Deities/Energies like how Mantras are audio/verbal representations of different Gods. Yantras act as channels to invoke the blessings and qualities of these specific deities. The Narsimhadev Yantra is a sacred geometric diagram or symbol associated with the Hindu deity Bhagawan Narasimha, who is an incarnation of Bhagawan Vishnu. The Narsimhadeva Yantra is considered to be a potent protective talisman. It is believed to deflect negative energies, evil forces, and psychic assaults. It can create a divine protection shield around the worshiper.

The 2-dimensional diagram of Narsimhadev Yantra comprises a Shaktona on its Bindu or central point, surrounded by a Trikona with several layers of intertwined triangles. The triangles pointing down characterizes the Yoni which is the source of all creations. Pointing upwards signifies forceful spiritual desire, the transferal of one’s nature into the subtler sphere and the Fire Element because Agni always burns upwards. A triangle pointing downwards represents the Water Element for water flows down. Fire Element represents Shiva and Water Element represents Shakti. Also around the central Shaktona (Hexagon) there is a set of Three tilted Triangles and it follows multiple other triangles pointing in many directions and in different sizes. All these numerous interlocked triangles in the center of the yantra and around represent different planes of existence hence all possible dimensions of experience are included. 9 Lotus petals are encircled within a circumference with the etched syllables OM in between them. The number 9 is related to spiritual development and enlightenment. It implies a journey of self-discovery and the pursuit of superior knowledge. Additionally, it symbolizes transformation and transition. It represents the capacity to abandon the past and embrace new beginnings. In order to progress and evolve, it encourages individuals to let go of attachments and obsolete patterns. They are contained within a booming circle with numerous flame-shaped forms enclosing it, which corresponds with continuous progressive rotation. Taken as a whole, this is a very powerful yantra for personal development on all planes of existence. Narsimhadev yantra provides exceptional protection so that internal or external obstructions are not present.

How to Meditate on Narsimhadev Yantra? (Visualization Technique)

Meditating on the Narsimhadev Yantra is the most powerful way to achieve union with the diagram. Achieving the union is said to reveal all secrets of the world and one is supposed to gain access to knowledge of higher realms. In an oversimplified sense one must recreate the Narsimhadev Yantra diagram accurately in the mind and visualize it. This visualization technique may sound simple but is quite tough to achieve, one must spend years of sadhana just to create an accurate image of the diagram in their head.

One can start by sitting in a comfortable posture facing east with an accurate image of Narsimhadev Yantra at their Eye Level.

Perform Pranayama Anolom Vilom (Alternating nostril breaths) 10 times & meditate to purify your mind and thoughts.

Start by focusing on the Centre Point Bindu with your gaze going inward to outward from the Bindu to the 1st Layer of the Shaktona to the 2nd Layer of the tilted Triangles at both sides of the Shaktona to the 3rd Layer of the Trikona moving your gaze through all the differently interlocked Triangles to the 4th Layer of the upwards and downwards pointing overlapping triangles in the outer part to the 5th Layer of the Circle to the 6th Layer of the 9 Petals of Lotus to the 7th Layer of the outermost Circle to the 8th Layer of the Squares in the outermost part. These are the steps or Avaran of Narsimhadev yantra.

Then your gaze should go from the Outermost Gate back to the Bindu.

Try to avoid blinking your eyes during this process. You can do this for multiple rounds for 30 minutes.

After you can focus with intent for at least 30 minutes (the stamina to just focus may take quite some time to develop) close your eyes and try to recreate the image of the Narsimhadev Yantra Diagram accurately.

Once you can create and sustain an accurate image of Narsimhadev Yantra in your mind try to focus one by one on the steps mentioned above and go from Bindu to Outermost gate & Back to Bindu however all this needs to be done in your mind in meditation with your eyes closed.

This visualization technique takes many years to master and bless the Sadhak with material success as well as spiritual augmentation.
