How to Meditate on Nakshatra Yantra? (Visualization Technique)

Meditating on the Nakshatra Yantra is the most powerful way to achieve union with the diagram. Achieving the union is said to reveal all secrets of the world and one is supposed to gain access to knowledge of higher realms. In an oversimplified sense one must recreate the Nakshatra Yantra diagram accurately in the mind and visualize it. This visualization technique may sound simple but is quite tough to achieve, one must spend years of sadhana just to create an accurate image of the diagram in their head. 

One can start by sitting in a comfortable posture facing east with an accurate image of Nakshatra Yantra at their Eye Level. 

Perform Pranayama Anolom Vilom (Alternating nostril breaths) 10 times & meditate to purify your mind and thoughts.

In order to meditate in the Nakshatra Yantra, focus your gaze in the 9x9 grid by moving your gaze through its etched numerals from left to right and from right to left along all the 9 rows one at a time. You can also do the same vertically from the upper side to the bottom part of the grid, each column at a time. Once done, contemplate the symbols of the Moon and the Six symbols of the 6 nakshatras engraved below the grid. These are the steps or Avaran of Nakshatra yantra.

Try to avoid blinking your eyes during this process. You can do this for multiple rounds for 30 minutes.

After you can focus with intent for at least 30 minutes (the stamina to just focus may take quite some time to develop) close your eyes and try to recreate the image of the Nakshatra Yantra Diagram accurately. 

Once you can create and sustain an accurate image of Nakshatra Yantra in your mind try to focus one by one on the steps mentioned above, however all this needs to be done in your mind in meditation with your eyes closed.
