Til Kala

Kala Til or Black Sesame is seed herb of flowering plant occurring naturally in tropical regions. It is also known as Sesamum indicum, Ellu , Nalla nuvvulu or kaṟutta eḷḷ. It is used in puja and Hawan or Homam. Offering Black Sesame with oil to Lord Shani helps pacify ‘Sade Sati’ dosha and helps remove malefic of planet Saturn. It is also used as ingredient in Indian cuisine.
