What is Chandra Grahan Dosha?

In Vedic astrology, the Moon (Chandra) represents the mind, emotions, peace, intuition, mother and mental stability. Rahu and Ketu are Chhaya Grahas (shadow planets) traditionally associated with eclipses.

When Rahu or Ketu conjuncts the Moon in the birth chart, it forms Chandra Grahan Dosha or Grahan Yoga. Like an eclipse obscures the Moon's light, this conjunction is said to disturb the positive qualities of Chandra, creating challenges related to emotional stability, peace of mind, clarity and relationships.
