Information about Gand Mool Nakshatra Dosha:

If a person is born with the natal Moon, Mercury or Ketu in any of these six nakshatras, he or she is a gand mool dosha native. As per Vedic Astrology, there are 27 nakshatras or constellations having 27 equal divisions of the lunar path. Out of these twenty-seven divisions, one division is ruled by the planets Mercury (Budh) and Ketu. This particular division is called Gand Mool Nakshatras.    

There are 6 Nakshatras that come under Gandmool, they are Ashwini, Ashlesha, Magha, Revati, Jyeshta, and Moola. In these six Nakshatras, the initial 5 hours of time period or 'Pada' of Ashwini, Magha and Moola and the last 5 hours or 'Pada' of Ashlesha, Jyeshta and Revati are called Gand Mool Nakshatras. Each of these Nakshatras have their own positive and negative effects. Any person born during these specific time periods becomes a native of the Gandmool Dosh.
