Shani Yantra, also called Saturn Yantra, is a sacred and lucky geometrical diagram that embodies the planet Saturn (Shani). In Vedic astrology, Saturn is seen as one of the most powerful and influential planets, and its effects are thought to have a big effect on a person's life and future. The Shani Yantra is used to appease Bhagawan Shani, planet Saturn deva, and ask for his blessings. It is thought to counteract the bad effects of Saturn in the birth chart and during Saturn returns, and bring about good changes, especially during Saturn's transit or when a person is going through the difficult phase of Saturn called "Sade Sati" or "Shani Dasha." Usually, the Yantra is a pattern or design that is etched or stamped into a metal plate or a piece of paper. It usually has a central point, or bindu, that is surrounded by triangles, squares, and lotus petals, among other geometric shapes and patterns. Based on Vedic principles, these shapes are set up in a very precise way. Shani Yantra can be kept at home or office as per Vedic astrology. Offering prayers and due rituals to this yantra show Bhagawan Shani's blessings and lessen the bad effects of Saturn. This helps bring about prosperity, peace, and well-being.
Shani Dev
Om Shan Shanecharaya Namah ||
Shani Yantra energizes the location where it is installed. You may place it near the entrance of your home/office/shop or in your living room or reception or study room or office cabin. You may keep it on a table or use it as a wall hanging. Yantra is best placed in the East direction facing West. It gets energized by the rising rays of the Sun and with the divine vibrations of the East corner and provides positive transformation energies to the dwelling through its mystical geometry.
Yantras are intricate and powerful geometric diagrams that hold profound significance in various cultures and traditions. They are geometric representations of specific Deities/Energies like how Mantras are audio/verbal representations of different Gods. Yantras act as channels to invoke the blessings and qualities of these specific deities. The Shani Yantra is the geometrical embodiment of Shani dev and planet Saturn. Shani Dev is often feared and is believed to create obstacles in an individual’s life during the phase of Sade Sati, but that is not true. Bhagawan Shani is known as the Bhagawan of Justice. Thus, during Sade sati Bhagawan Shani is said to deliver us with the fruits of our past and present Karma. According to the ancient scriptures, Bhagawan Shani is known to be the son of Sun God and Chaya (Sanvarna). He is often referred to as the pitiless God, who rules the planet Saturn. He is believed to be the elder brother of Bhagawan Yama, the God of death. Both Bhagawan Shani and Bhagawan Yama show the correct path and teach lessons of righteousness to all the living entities.
The Shani Yantra is a sacred instrument that consists of numbers and symmetric design that resonates with the powers and positive frequencies of Bhagawan Shani. This mystical diagram has the power to attract the principles of Shani Dev and carries the significance of His mantra or process. This powerful yantra blesses the worshiper with courage, confidence, mental and physical strength.
The 2-dimensional diagram of Shani Yantra comprises a numerical Square or grid of three arrows and three columns. Each of the little squares or boxes in the grid contain a number. Added together either horizontally or vertically sum total 33. In numerology, the number 33 is considered a Master number. The master number 33 is by far the most powerful of all master numbers. It may even be the most powerful number of all. People with the master number 33 usually know a lot about a subject and check facts before promoting an idea. He shows patience and persistence, as well as realism and a sense of grounding. This number is connected to powerful people, spiritual leaders, and teachers. It has a strong sense of both success and knowledge. It resonates with the principle of planet Saturn and social status. Below the Square is etched a figure of Shani Dev. Taken together, this is an extremely powerful yantra for progress in life, personal honor and accomplishment of goals and tasks. The vibrational frequency of this yantra harnesses the positive effects of Shani Dev and removes all planetary doshas of Saturn in the birth chart.
According to Vedic astrology, if Saturn is positioned in the correct house in a person's birth chart, that person will live a long life, be calm by nature, be self-assured, observant, intelligent, skilled, organized, and be an outstanding administrator. On the other hand, if Saturn is not placed in the correct house in the natal chart, the individual encounters delays, obstacles, and disputes in every aspect of life.
Shani's transit is known for being slow. This slow transit provides two significant phases in a person's life: Sadhe Sati and Dhaiya. Sadhe Sati is the phase in which Saturn transits the Moon's twelfth and second houses. Consequently, the Dhaiya period occurs if Shani is located in the fourth and eighth houses from the natal moon in a person's natal chart. The Sadhe Sati period is seven and a half years, while the Dhaiya period is two and a half years.
As per ancient scriptures a yantra work in tune with the cosmic order. Every frequency/sound creates a waves vibration pattern which can be observed through various means and in turn sacred geometrical patterns contain divine frequencies. In Modern times this research has been done in the field of Cymatics.
Yantras are sacred geometrical patterns which are actually wave patterns of different Deities & Energies created by their inherent frequency. Just like how Specific Mantras aligns us with specific Deities & Energies, Yantras are tools which can be installed, worshipped & meditated upon to achieve union with these divine principles. They were extensively researched and are mentioned in various ancient Hindu Scriptures & Tantras. Shani Yantra embodies the Divine Principles of Shani Dev & blesses us with their grace. The Shani Yantra derives its energy from its inherent scared geometry as well as the Electromagnetic Energy Field of Sunlight as well as Geomagnetic Energy Field of the Earth. When Shani Yantra is installed in your dwelling it vibrates at a frequency which harmonizes the environment with its principles.
As mentioned, Shani Yantra can be installed in your dwelling to improve Vatsu & bless you with the energies of Shani Dev. Meditating on the Shani Yantra is the most powerful way to achieve union with the diagram. Achieving the union is said to reveal all secrets of the world and one is supposed to gain access to knowledge of higher realms. In an oversimplified sense one must recreate the Shani Yantra diagram accurately in the mind and visualize it. This visualization technique may sound simple but is quite tough to achieve, one must spend years of sadhana just to create an accurate image of the diagram in their head.
One can start by sitting in a comfortable posture facing east with an accurate image of Shani Yantra at their Eye Level.
Perform Pranayama Anolom Vilom (Alternating nostril breaths) 10 times & meditate to purify your mind and thoughts.
Start by focusing on the first numeral on the upper left of the grid and then move your gaze horizontally to the upper right, then keep gazing at the numerals of the middle arrow from right to left, and then move your gaze through the numerals of the bottom arrow of the grid from left to right. These are the steps or Avaran of Shani yantra.
Try to avoid blinking your eyes during this process. You can do this for multiple rounds for 30 minutes.
After you can focus with intent for at least 30 minutes (the stamina to just focus may take quite some time to develop) close your eyes and try to recreate the image of the Shani Yantra Diagram accurately.
Once you can create and sustain an accurate image of Shani Yantra in your mind try to focus one by one on the steps mentioned, however all this needs to be done in your mind in meditation with your eyes closed.
This visualization technique takes many years to master and bless the Sadhak with material success as well as spiritual augmentation.
