Chandra Yantra promotes mental and emotional balance as well as peace of mind. This yantra is especially effective in counteracting the effects of a poorly placed Moon (Chandra) in the natal chart, which relates to lack of emotional harmony, mental distress, memory problems, negative feelings, subconscious fears, sadness, lack of joy, and relationship problems, particularly with Mother and family, among many other things. When Chandra is afflicted in the natal chart, it causes an imbalance in the Swadhisthana chakra as well. Mental, emotional, and relationship issues are resolved by installing the Chandra Yantra. This will help you become more focused and mentally stable. It will also help with geometric visualization in order to achieve union with Chandra deva. This yantra is a portal through which you can connect with the divine energy of the Moon. According to Hindu Scriptures, Chandra, or the Moon God, represents the human mind, the subconscious, and is a source of life energy. The moon is also associated with fertility, and is believed to influence one's imaginative and intuitive nature. Worshiping the Chandra Yantra brings relief from all unhappiness, boosts self-confidence, and provides emotional and mental stability. The cool rays of the Chandra Yantra spread joy and emotional comfort and stability. It brings balance to the Water element in our bodies and, as a result, it balances the Sacral chakra. The Chandra Yantra also cleanses negative feelings and memories from the past and recycles our past karma, leaving us feeling revitalized on the inside and confident in our uniqueness on the outside.

Presiding Deity: Chandra Dev

Mantra:  Om Aim Kleem Somay Namah||

Placement: Chandra Yantra energizes the location where it is installed. You may place it near the entrance of your home/office/shop or in your living room or reception or study room or office cabin. You may keep it on a table or use it as a wall hanging. Yantra is best placed in the East direction facing West. It gets energized by the rising rays of the Sun and with the divine vibrations of the East corner and provides positive transformation energies to the dwelling through its mystical geometry.

What is Chandra Yantra?

Yantras are intricate and powerful geometric diagrams that hold profound significance in various cultures and traditions. They are geometric representations of specific Deities/Energies like how Mantras are audio/verbal representations of different Gods. Yantras act as channels to invoke the blessings and qualities of these specific deities. The Chandra Yantra is worshiped for harmony, balanced emotions, health, flexibility of flow with the feelings of the different life’s situations and positive relationships. It helps pacify the malefic of the planet Moon in the birth chart which shows a debilitated or weak Moon and rectifies it by radiating Chandra beneficial powers.

The 2-dimensional diagram of Chandra Yantra comprises a Square divided in little boxes or squares in three arrows and three columns with each numeral within. From left to right it follows the 7-2-9 sequence in the upper arrow, 8-6-4 in the middle arrow and 3-20-5 in the bottom arrow. The total horizontal and vertical sum of these numbers is 18 and 28. The number 9 is derived from the sum of 1+8 (18) and is associated with our life's journey. The number 10 (2+8) represents independence, self-esteem, and unlimited potential. The combination of these numbers calms a restless mind, connects us to our inner self, and keeps us on track with the flow of our lives, allowing us to pursue our individual goals with confidence. Below the Square is a carved image of Chandra Dev surrounded by a Circle and the Chandra Dev mantra. Taken together, the regular visualization and worship of this yantra leads to peace of mind and emotional stability which reflects positively in all areas of life, and brings interest and motivation to pursue whatever goals we set for ourselves.

In Vedic tradition, the Moon (Chandra Dev) is also referred to as Soma Dev. In ancient scriptures, Chandra is venerated as the divine elixir that confers vitality. In particular, the entire ninth mandala of 114 hymns from the Rigveda is devoted to Soma. This ninth Rig Vedic manuscript is referred to as Soma Mandala.

Chandra Dev's influence on Earth is undeniable because it has a direct effect on both the trajectory of natural processes and the vitality of all living things on the planet.

It is the embodiment of the life-giving and creative energy of the mother. It is also believed that Chandra influences an individual's psyche, subconscious, sensorial perception, and emotional sphere. In Vedic Astrology, the Moon is one of the nine planets known collectively as Navagraha.

Chandra Ashtottara Shatanamavali is a sacred text that extols the Moon as the god of knowledgeable men and sin-remover. It also aids in the removal of negative karmic impressions. The text also praises the Moon as the granter of desires and aspirations. Worshiping Chandra Yantra will alleviate all afflictions and increase mental and emotional resilience.

Chandra Dev also adorns Bhagawan Shiva's head, hence it is believed that Monday worship of the Chandra Yantra bestows Mahadev's blessings too.

How to Meditate on Chandra Yantra? (Visualization Technique)

Meditating on the Chandra Yantra is the most powerful way to achieve union with the diagram. Achieving the union is said to reveal all secrets of the world and one is supposed to gain access to knowledge of higher realms. In an oversimplified sense one must recreate the Chandra Yantra diagram accurately in the mind and visualize it. This visualization technique may sound simple but is quite tough to achieve, one must spend years of sadhana just to create an accurate image of the diagram in their head.

One can start by sitting in a comfortable posture facing east with an accurate image of Chandra Yantra at their Eye Level.

Perform Pranayama Anolom Vilom (Alternating nostril breaths) 10 times & meditate to purify your mind and thoughts.

Start by focusing on the first number on the upper left side of the Square, then move your gaze horizontally or vertically across the remaining numbers on the 3x3 grid until you can visualize them all. Then, direct your attention to the image of Bhagawan Chandra located below the Square. These are the steps or Avaran of Chandra yantra.

Then your gaze should go from the Outermost Gate back to the Bindu.

Try to avoid blinking your eyes during this process. You can do this for multiple rounds for 30 minutes.

After you can focus with intent for at least 30 minutes (the stamina to just focus may take quite some time to develop) close your eyes and try to recreate the image of the Chandra Yantra Diagram accurately.

Once you can create and sustain an accurate image of Chandra Yantra in your mind try to focus one by one on the steps mentioned above and go from Bindu to Outermost gate & Back to Bindu however all this needs to be done in your mind in meditation with your eyes closed.

This visualization technique takes many years to master and bless the Sadhak with material success as well as spiritual augmentation.
